I was 40 years old and found myself battling with severe low back pain & sciatica. I couldn’t ride in a car or sit in a chair longer than 10 minutes. The pain brought me to tears. I went to the doctor. They took X-Rays and I was told that I had degenerative disc disease. The doctor said that was just a fancy word for arthritis and prescribed me pain pills, muscle relaxers & anti-inflammatories. I asked what kind of treatment would be available and they said I didn’t need to worry about that until I was about 60 years old.

Living on pain pills, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories for the next 20 years just sounded ridiculous to me. So, I immediately started researching holistic approaches to healing my body, as the medications did nothing to relieve my pain. I found my way into Chiropractic Care, and shortly after was introduced to Non-surgical Spinal Decompression. Because I stopped taking the meds and found a solution in chiropractic care and non-surgical spinal decompression, I made a full recovery and it changed the whole course of my future.

A couple of years ago, when my husband retired from the Navy, I was able to work remotely for the Chiropractic office that I left in California. We went on a year long cross country adventure becoming full time RV’ers!! Living without pain allowed me to really enjoy our new adventure.

Setting off on this new adventure, my husband and I were not sure what our future held but trusted The Lord would lead us on the right path. We found our way from California to Jacksonville, FL where I stumbled upon Dr Nathans & Nathans Family Chiropractic. I have a professional background in Finance, Sales & Marketing, but because of my a passion for regenerative care and helping people heal their body, I decided to forego my full–time RV travels to became a Chiropractic Assistant and quickly moved up to becoming the Office Manager. I feel blessed for the opportunity to work at a World Class 100 Year Lifestyle – No Needle, Regenerative Clinic where I truly get to witness miracles happen daily!!
